Guildford Banjo Jamboree 2007
We've just received the welcome news that High & Lonesome are booked to play the 4th Annual Guildford Banjo Jamboree to be held September 14–16.
The boys played there last year as part of The Cornhuskers. Chips won equal-first in the Banjo Pick-off.
The Banjo Jamboree is a great little festival in the Goldfields town of Guildford, near Castlemaine and Daylesford, with sessions aplenty. Well worth a visit, but be warned, it is very cold at night for camping (all the more reason to seek shelter in the pub in the evening).
Husking Corn at Port Fairy
Another fabulous Port Fairy Folk Festival has come and gone and the boys and girl survived three days and nights of stellar music and the demands of the nightly Green Room.
The weekend began in earnest with Yardup sitting in on drums for the Unwanted Men in Black and a Lady at Folk Worx late Friday night. Highly entertaining, especially Uncle Arthur having trouble finding the right harmonica for his long awaited solo on Folsum Prison. read more »

Port Fairy Folk Festival 2007
The High & Lonesome Sinnbeck Experience rides again!
After a 12 month hiatus, Chips and Slim got together with Geoff Sinnbeck who has been part of High & Lonesome on and off for a few years now. Geoff last played with the boys about 12 months ago at Port Fairy Folk Festival, after a very successful appearance at the Cygnet Folk Festival in Tasmania.
The boys are resurrecting the concert set from last year and plan to record it live at Chips' Woodshed as an application for this year's Maldon Folk Festival. High & Lonesome played Maldon three years ago and thought it high time they got back in the saddle with them three-part harmonies.
