Pioneer Festival
High & Lonesome played the midday set at the Pioneer Festival in Deans Marsh last Sunday.
The boys have played here on a number of occasions. The last couple of years it has been wet. There is a local superstition that if they play, it will rain. The drought ravaged Otway hinterlands were blessed with about 30-40mm of rain.
The Pioneer Festival is a chance for the local community to have some fun celebrating the autumn harvest, preserving some heritage and history, with all manner of local produce, food, wine and beer. This year featured a kids circus as well as the usual attractions of heritage farm equipment and demonstrations, dog trials, crafts and live music.
