New Web Site

After many hours of hacking and tweaking, Slim has created a new web site.

After waiting patiently for a few years, the www.highandlonesome.com domain name now belongs to High & Lonesome. Coupled with my interest in exploring what is known as Content Management System web technology, I've taken the opportunity to do a make over of High & Lonesome's web site. This new site is like a cross between a normal web site and a weblog. There are many advantages:

•  members can subscribe by email
• members can post news, gigs, images etc just by using the functions of the site and a web browser
• articles can have a set life span and be automatically archived
• allows collaboration of site content among many users
• automatic mail list subscription
• the site is searchable

This is my first attempt using this technology and it is still a work in progress. But I hope that our website will be more dynamic and interesting to those of you who drop into the High & Lonesome Shack. Come on in!
