Queensland State of Mind

Howdy Y'all,

Well, that lazy, laid-back Queensland state of mind is starting to sink in! It's only been five days and already I'm a shadow of my former enthusiasm!  From the outset I've been totally frustrated at the pace of everything up here (first gear all the way), but five days in and I'm starting to get into the groove! Don't do anything that's not totally necessary, leave everything thing as long as possible, put in the least amount of effort on any given task!

Anyway, a quick entertainment update. I spent this morning investigating my biggest hope of a great Saturday night out - Cane Toad Racing!!! - but have been thoroughly disappointed to discover it's no longer running at the local CLUB-CROC! So, alternatives are M@SS Nightclub (backpacker heaven) featuring Jelly Wrestling, Pole Dancing Comp, Foam Party, Wet T-Shirt Comp etc (need I say more!) or a venue called BANJOS (I thought this might hold some possibility as they have regualr music, until I was told by multiple people not to waste my money! - they can't cook or make coffee!) so I've given all that a miss. I'm keen to keep up the search, but my hope of securing some new banjo material is slowly fading.
