Guildford Banjo Jamboree
Guildford Banjo Jamboree 2007
We've just received the welcome news that High & Lonesome are booked to play the 4th Annual Guildford Banjo Jamboree to be held September 14–16.
The boys played there last year as part of The Cornhuskers. Chips won equal-first in the Banjo Pick-off.
The Banjo Jamboree is a great little festival in the Goldfields town of Guildford, near Castlemaine and Daylesford, with sessions aplenty. Well worth a visit, but be warned, it is very cold at night for camping (all the more reason to seek shelter in the pub in the evening).

3rd Annual Guildford Banjo Jamboree Sept 15 - 17, 2006
Slim had his fiery baptism with High & Lonesome at the Guildford Banjo Jamboree, playing and singing in numerous pub sessions, on stage in concert at the Old Music Hall, on the main stage with The Unwanted Men in Black and a Lady (and a fiddle player, and a banjo player!), the beer garden concert with The Corn Huskers, and if all that wasn’t enough excitement for a young fella, he and Reinhart accompanied Chips in his prize-winning Robbie Watts Banjo Pick Off performance. 3rd Anuual Banjo Jamboree Festival
The Cornhuskers and High & Lonesome will be camping out at the 3rd Annual Guildford Jamboree.
The Jamboree aims to provide an environment similar to the Yarra Junction Fiddler's Convention, however with the emphasis on this occasion being that much maligned family of instruments – the banjo. Consequently much of the weekend will be focussed around "ad-hoc" entertainment and sessions.
Slim, Chips and Reinhart will lend a hand to finish off the set with the Cornhuskers' Yardup, Smasher and Mr. Spiller. read more »
