The Shack

The Shack is back!

Redneck Motor Home

The High & Lonesome Shack has been moved to a new web host after months of troubles with the old one - MD Webhosting.

Back in December we were plagued by Russian hackers. In January a power surge blew up the whole shooting match. Since then the site has been up and down stored and restored and reinfected with Russian hackers. And I've lost two posts. Unbelieveable! Even yesterday, MD Web hosting were still having issues with ftp access and back-end access.

Finally The Shack has been moved to more solid ground at Jumba. No doubt there are still some gremlins lurking around the place and we'll sort them as we find them.

It's been a long time between drinks

After a long, cold, lonely winter, Slim has emerged from the back shed with some new web projects and a couple of new songs to show for his efforts.

High & Lonesome will be at Irish Murphys once a month on Thursdays until the end of the year and of course there is the Guildford Banjo Jamboree coming up and the annual family pilgrimage to the Roses Gap Music Camp in the Grampians.

Yardup and Chips have the Geelong Folk Club on fire with a monthly chalkboard concert and a monthly live and local concert at Irish Murphys. Be sure to check 'em out.

The High Lonesome Shack has moved!

Beverly Hillbillies

I have moved The High Lonesome Shack to a new Web Hosting service.

The previous host Webcity changed some server setting which prevented me from using the podcast/iTunes subscription. Keeping abreast of developments there guys – nice one! I've been arguing with them for a couple of weeks and they refused to do anything about it. They have offered me a full refund on my 12-month subscription, so that's some consolation. Can't bill them for wasting hours of my time 'though!

So here we are then. Thanks to the trusty old Buick we've arrived safely.  read more »
